Mindbloom profile:
Psychedelic Integration Guide
I have guided 500+ clients through psychedelic and integration journeys during my time at Mindbloom.
The most powerful and long-lasting transformations occur when the client is full-hearted & actively particpating in the entire process - not treating the medicine like a magic pill.
And this takes work.
Setting intentions for psychedelic sessions is one thing, and navigating the journey is another; taking action on what is seen and felt
is another thing entirely.
It means facing hidden parts of yourself, re-living trauma, taking uncomfortable steps, maintaining vigilance to notice when engagnig in old patterns or a new response to an old trigger and celebrating yourself. And noticing when you are being hard on yourself if you slip up, so you meet yourself with compassion.
And be willing to go again.
And again.
The medicine activates neuroplasticity in the brain, meaning there is less resistance to taking action in the direction of one’s desired outcome (intention) then there usually would be, especially in the 48hrs post session when plasticity is most active, and so it is vital to make the most of this state by actively interrupting unhealthy behaviours and thought-patterns and replacing them with positive ones that you want to see embedded in the long-term.

The number of people that are exploring psychedelic medicine is growing exponentially, whether therapeutically, recreationally
or ontologically.
However, in most settings it seems that the integration component is missing - this is a vital piece of the puzzle and the means in which the journey will outlive a few hours and be embodied by a new way of being in which
we may navigate the world.

I may be able to support the process.
Background
My journey with psychedelics began in 2014
(at least therepeautically, I had taken various psychedelics recreationally before).
As I was exploring the meaning behind my experience and learning about the brain’s plasticity and ability to adapt, I began researching plant medicine. I came to the conclusion that these magical plants born out of nature like any other plant, have the power to unlock parts of our brain that we don’t have access to.
I read various reports of people changing the way they think and behave after their experiences with plant medicines. I was devouring Ram Dass lectures at this time too, one of the main beings in shifting perceptions of psychedelics.
I felt a calling to a plant known as
‘Mother Ayhuasca.’
A tea brewed from the stems of a vine and various leaves. Indeginous communities have used it for
spiritual ceremonies for centuries.
Exactly around this time (not coincidentally), a guy named X was in UK talking about the plant and his experience - he is part of a family lineage that has relationship to the medicine, set up the Church of Ayhuasca in Argentina and was arrested in Spain back in the late 90s for bringing the plant
into the country.
He was captivating and I followed my intution and sat in a 6-day ayhuasca ceremony in San Rafael, Ibiza.
I drank the tea medicine
three times over the 6 nights.
It was an incredible experience - there was lots of purging (emotionally, psychologically and physically - the plant is known to really clean you out) with a rollercoaster of visions, memories, insight, challenges, suffering and joy.
What stuck with me however was the process of integration the morning after drinking the medicine.
The thoughtful and heartful shaman (Dejan) would lead an inquiry into our individual experience - not trying to give clever advice, but to listen with the fullest of his being and ask questions that will guide me deeper into myself and allow me to come
to my own realisations.
And amidst it all, what was clear is that this medicine is not going to heal me, but show me where I need to heal myself.
It showed me where I was running from and who I was hiding from. The medicine was a catalyst for my transformation, but only because hand on heart, I am willing to do the work.
Since then I have explored my consciousness with other medicines such as psilocybin, bufo (5-MeO-DMT), acid and ketamine (during multiple programs with Mindbloom). I value my relationship with psychedlics, but appreciate they are
not for everybody.
What I feel though, is when used with intention & awareness, in the right context, they have immense value for improving mental health and uncovering deeper truths of our being.
